What I learned Fasting For 21 Days for God

This was by far one of the hardest things I had to walk through in a long time. In December God told me that I would be doing a 21 day fast. I was so scared because I did not want my mouth to lead me into sin. The Bible warns us many times to not say we are doing something for God and not follow through with it. Yes, God gives us grace and grants us mercy. However, we should never intend to abuse Gods goodness.

So, I prayed a lot in December for his strength to get me through this and to be the lead. As I stood on the 21 first day, the Holy Spirit made known that it was him who kept me going.

So many times I wanted to give up, some many times I was tempted to eat. However, the Holy Spirit lead me with deep conviction. I prayed a lot, read my Bible a lot, cried a lot, rebuked spirits, called for chains to be broken, and surrendered to God completely.

All of this taught me that:

•We can do hard things with Christ!

•We have a source of strength that is divine when we truly give ourselves over to God.

•All pain and suffering comes to an end at some point.

•God will sustain us our time of need

•God will truly keep you from sinning

•In our pain, we learn to depend and trust in God more.

•Gods love will always be in reach

•God hears our cries and he hears our prayers

•God always provides an answer

•God will never leave the righteous forsaken

•God provides for all your needs and will give abundantly when we believe that he can

•God is closer than we think.

I hope this helps anyone being led by the spirit to fast. You can do this because God will do this through you.

These liquids helped provide essential nutrients and energy while still allowing my body to cleanse and my spirit to focus. I remember reaching a point where I realized, 'Wow, there's truly no food going in, and yet I feel sustained!' This was a powerful realization of divine provision. One of the most common questions is about the 'before and after' physically. For me, a significant physical change was indeed noticeable. By the end of the 21 days, I was down 23 pounds. It wasn't my main goal, but it was a very welcome side effect of giving my digestive system a complete break and nourishing my body with nutrient-dense juices and liquids. Beyond the numbers on the scale, I felt an incredible lightness, both physically and mentally. My skin looked clearer, my energy levels, after the initial detox phase, were surprisingly high, and I had a newfound appreciation for simple, healthy foods. But the real 'before and after' happened internally. Before the fast, I felt a certain heaviness, a spiritual restlessness. During the fast, especially with consistent prayer and Bible reading, I felt the Holy Spirit working in me, guiding me, and strengthening me. The spiritual transformation was profound. I learned to truly depend on God for everything, and that feeling of surrender brought an unparalleled peace. My faith grew exponentially, and I felt a deeper connection to God than ever before. It's truly a journey where the 'Holy Spirit Won' over my fleshly desires and doubts. If you're considering a 21-day spiritual fast and prayer, here are a few practical tips I learned: Prepare Mentally & Spiritually: Start with prayer, set clear intentions, and commit wholeheartedly. Understand why you're fasting. Physical Preparation: Gradually reduce solid foods a few days before. Consult with a healthcare professional, especially if you have underlying health conditions. This isn't a decision to take lightly. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Drink plenty of water. Incorporate herbal teas and fresh pressed juices like the ones I shared. They make a huge difference in sustaining energy and providing nutrients. Lean into Prayer & Scripture: This is your lifeline. When hunger pangs or temptations arise, turn to God. Read your Bible, journal your thoughts, and spend time in quiet reflection. Listen to Your Body: While pushing through is part of the discipline, know your limits. If you experience severe symptoms, break the fast safely. Break the Fast Gently: Don't jump straight back into heavy meals.
