Okay… let’s talk about it. I tried the Built Puffs Coconut protein bar, and honestly it tastes like a candy bar. 👀
First thing — if this bar isn’t already your thing, the word “puffy” on the label might confuse you. The center has a marshmallow-like texture, which I didn’t expect at all. It’s super soft and airy, the flavor was that of coconut…
Now I will say this: it doesn’t taste super “protein-y”, which some people might like. But when you look at the ingredients and realize there’s quite a bit of added sugar, that kind of explains why. 🤷🏽♀️
For me personally:
• Texture: marshmallow-style center
• Taste: a little off / overly sweet
• Protein bar disguise: very convincing 😅
Why the 3/10?
It doesn’t have that chalky protein taste, but the sweetness and overall flavor just weren’t it for me.
I was in a rush trying to get some protein in this morning and got it. It was just too sweet for my liking !
If you like marshmallow textures and sweet coconut candy vibes, you might enjoy it more than I did.

However, the added sugars somewhat outweigh the protein benefits for me personally. Overall, if you enjoy coconut-flavored treats and have a sweet tooth, this might be a fun snack that feels indulgent while providing some protein. But for those looking for a cleaner protein source or less sugar, it might not be the best fit. Has anyone else tried these?
