Reflecting on the idea of social media closing every day at 6 PM, I realized how much time we spend online, often at the expense of real-life interactions. If platforms suddenly shut down like shops closing for the day, it would push us to be more present with those around us. For example, I started setting digital curfews for myself, turning off my phone in the evening to focus on hobbies like reading and music. This simple change has helped me feel more refreshed and connected. Being offline more often encourages meaningful conversations with family and friends, fostering stronger bonds. It also motivates us to step outside, enjoy nature, and engage in activities that inspire creativity and mindfulness. Social media is a powerful tool, but balancing its use with real-world moments is essential for mental health. Setting boundaries helps prevent burnout and promotes a happier, more fulfilling lifestyle. Ultimately, making time to disconnect online leads to richer in-person experiences and a deeper appreciation for everyday life.
