Low-Cal Mocktail of The Moment!

Are you in the mood for a spicy margarita but can’t or don’t want to indulge in alcohol? I got you girl!

🌶️Ingredients:🍋‍🟩

-chamoy

-tajin

-jalapeño (I used about half)

- half an orange (I used Cara Cara since it’s so sweet)

-San Pellegrino

(I recommend adding a squeeze of lime too, I just didn’t have any on hand)

If you like it a bit sweeter, I suggest adding the whole orange or adding in some low cal (or regular) margarita mix!

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you're craving something special, but you're trying to cut down on alcohol or calories? That's exactly how I felt when I experimented to create this amazing spicy low-cal margarita mocktail! It's been a game-changer for my 'sober curious' journey, letting me enjoy all the vibrant flavors without any of the guilt. Making this mocktail is actually super simple, and the visual payoff is just as rewarding as the taste. I love starting by rimming my favorite ceramic mug. First, a little chamoy on the edge, then a generous dip into bright red tajin – it gives it that perfect spicy, tangy kick! Then, for the base, I muddle fresh jalapeño slices with a sweet Cara Cara orange right in my cocktail shaker. Don't skip the muddling; it really brings out those essential oils and juicy flavors. If you don't have a muddler, the back of a spoon works wonders too! After that, I add a splash of San Pellegrino sparkling water for that refreshing fizz. Sometimes, I even add a squeeze of fresh lime if I have it on hand – it truly elevates the citrus notes. For those who like it a bit sweeter but still want to keep it low-cal, try adding a few drops of liquid stevia or a tiny splash of a sugar-free margarita mix. You could also muddle a whole orange instead of half, as the original recipe suggests, for a naturally sweeter profile. It's all about playing around until you find your perfect balance! This spicy chamoy mocktail is fantastic, but the world of low-calorie, alcohol-free drinks is huge! If you're looking for other zero-calorie mocktail ideas, I often blend fresh cucumber and mint with sparkling water and a squeeze of lime – so refreshing! Or for something fruity, muddle some berries with a touch of balsamic vinegar (trust me, it works!) and top with plain sparkling water. The key is using fresh ingredients and naturally flavorful spices to get that 'wow' factor without added sugars or alcohol. Beyond the amazing taste, choosing low-calorie mocktails has so many benefits. They help keep me hydrated, support my wellness goals, and honestly, they're just as fun to make and enjoy as alcoholic cocktails. They're perfect for any social gathering, ensuring everyone has a delicious, sophisticated drink in hand, whether they're drinking alcohol or not. Plus, waking up without a hangover? Priceless! I encourage you to experiment and find your own favorite low-cal mocktail recipes. Cheers to a delicious, healthier sip!
