Auditors often ask, "How many coordinates does this machine operate at?"

And see if the calibration covers the actual weight range or resolution. If calibrated but used outside Scope, it is still considered "risky." So we should check Scope to match the actual use every time.

2️⃣ Use tools not suitable for the job.

Always found cases are using Scale in tasks where Balance should be used, or using a machine where resolution is not enough for quality decisions.

"Is this machine suitable for the process?"

This is the first step that many factories do not overlook, although the appropriateness of the tool is very important, because if the tool is not used appropriately, it is necessary to change the machine to be suitable for use, otherwise it will not be easily calibrated.

Here is another important point that the Auditor looks at is whether the Uncertainty value on the Certificate is sufficient for quality control, because if the Uncertainty value is too high compared to the requirements of the work, the weighing results may not be accepted.

4️⃣ The application environment is not consistent with calibration.

The machine has been calibrated but has been deployed in a production line with vibration, wind, or temperature changes. This is also a major recurring problem, so we should evaluate the actual task page and adjust the position or method of use to suit the tool placement and check the tool every time if it is in ready condition.

5️⃣ Documents are not systematically linked.

Certificate is full of QA. The connection between use, calibration cycle, and tool control is not clear. When Audit comes, it usually does not pass the way it should.
