I Still Think About

#WhatToWatch #Horror #Movies

• Us (2017) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Yiiiikes. This film screwed my head clean up if I’m being honest. I mean that in the best way possible. It’s truly a masterpiece by Jordan Peele and I assure you you’ll think about it for a long time.

• Antebellum (2020) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This isn’t a well-known film at all, and I know it’s not for everyone, but I personally really liked it. The storyline is incredibly unique and the twist at the end threw me for a major loop. Definitely worth watching, especially if you want a movie that’s not horror as much as thriller. WARNING: major violence (particularly against black and brown men and women).

• Midsommar (2019) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - My first thought when I finished this movie was “what. The. Actual. F**k.” Florence Pugh was phenomenal and I’m convinced she’s 3/4 of the reason Midsommar was so good. And boy, was it good. It was sad and violent and gory and all that good stuff, and so well-acted by everyone involved.

• Sinister (2012) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I always say Sinister is one of the very few movies that I cannot watch A) alone or B) in the dark. It’s beyond disturbing. The acting was good, but the storyline… MY GOD, the storyline. 😍 10/10 recommend this one, but it isn’t for the faint of heart and it’s definitely, as I said, disturbing.

• Get Out (2017) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - This one is another Jordan Peele film like Us, and I won’t lie, it’s weird as HELL, but so good. It’s definitely more out there than Us, if you can imagine that. It’s deranged and terrifying. Absolutely recommend.

• Smile (2022) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Smile AND its sequel stuck with me. They AREN’T standalone and are intertwined to some extent, so definitely watch this first one before the second, although the second is much more dark and disturbing than the original.

• The Conjuring (2013) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. ‘Nough said. Those two are a dynamic duo and I couldn’t love them more. They make this film what it is, for sure.

• The Strangers (2008) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I posted about this the other day but I had to include it in this post, too. Liv Tyler is incredible in horror films, as she showed with this one. This is another that I can’t watch alone or in the dark. A major word I can use to describe this one is “unsettling.”

• Wrong Turn (2003) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - As bad as this sounds, I’ve been watching this since I was 10 years old, and it still is entertaining and creepy to me at 29. Definitely makes you never want to go into the woods, ever. I also met Eliza Dushku (she plays Jessie) and she was the SWEETEST THING.
