a very different post for me, the non aesthetic reality of life 😅 i’ve been in such a funk, struggling to find routine again after travelling in and out of the country🙃 i’ve been so ridiculously busy with work and have had no motivation especially with it getting dark outside at 4:30 😩 let’s motivate each other to survive this seasonal depression 🩷

Seasonal depression, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), can deeply impact motivation and mood, especially during the shorter daylight months when it gets dark as early as 4:30 PM. After extensive travel, adjusting back into a steady routine is often challenging, as the body and mind need time to adapt to changing environments and schedules. Establishing a daily routine that includes consistent wake-up times, physical activity like pilates, and self-care rituals can help combat the sluggishness and low mood associated with seasonal changes. Engaging in light therapy by using a SAD lamp or spending time outdoors in natural light during the day may significantly improve energy levels. Incorporating supportive beauty and wellness products — such as those from Tower 28 Beauty — and comfortable, motivating workout outfits like pilates wear can boost confidence and encourage sticking to a routine. Community support, whether through online groups or friends, is also key in motivating each other to overcome the funk. If you're feeling overwhelmed by work and travel fatigue, it’s important to practice kindness toward yourself and prioritize mental health. Techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and gentle movement can help reset your mental state and prevent burnout. Remember, seasonal depression affects many, but with the right strategies and support, you can gradually restore your motivation and well-being. Sharing your journey authentically, as Sarah has, helps build a community where we can motivate each other to thrive through challenges.
