Not going to show myself on 🍋8.

I honestly love this app. I have used it for awhile. I was losing my sanity on TikTok at I got up in followers. I destroyed my self esteem. This time around I am going to be gentle with myself. ❤️#bodypositive

... Read moreIn the age of social media, our mental health can often feel fragile, especially when faced with the pressures of conforming to perceived beauty standards. The journey toward body positivity involves recognizing the negative impact that platforms like TikTok can have on one's self-esteem. It's essential to understand that you don't need to appear perfect or have everything together to share your experiences online. The concept of self-sabotage can creep in when we obsess over our looks or worry about others' opinions, often leading to a toxic cycle of self-doubt. This article highlights the importance of setting boundaries with social media and being gentle with ourselves. It encourages readers to prioritize mental well-being, reject fatphobia, and embrace authenticity in their online presence. By sharing both struggles and triumphs in a supportive community, individuals can cultivate an environment that fosters self-love and encouragement. Ultimately, Lemon8 serves as a platform to celebrate individuality and encourage everyone to embrace themselves as they are.

I think it’s perfectly normal to want to protect yourself and it’s OK to do so. People suck and somehow feel it’s ok to be mean to strangers based solely on appearance/identity. I’d like to say that’s not the kind of community lemon8 is, but… There seems to be a lot of love/support, but there are sucky ppl here, too.
