In moments of uncertainty, we must remember that healing from past traumas—such as those associated with medical malpractice, neurotoxicity, or withdrawal syndromes like protracted withdrawal syndrome and post-finasteride syndrome (PFS)—is essential. Increasing awareness about mental health conditions, including the effects of antidepressants, gabapentin, and antipsychotics, can empower individuals to advocate for their well-being. By focusing on personal healing and embracing hope, we learn to set boundaries that foster positive self-regard, allowing us to stop mirroring the harm inflicted by others. Shamanic initiation and other holistic approaches can also serve as pathways to profound self-awareness and transformation. Ultimately, the choice to prioritize oneself is an act of courage and self-love that leads to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
