... Read moreOver time, I've come to realize that understanding what drains our energy and disrupts our peace is essential for living a balanced and fulfilling life. Choosing yourself isn't about being difficult—it's about being discerning, as the saying goes. It's a form of self-respect and wisdom developed through experience. For women over 40, this journey often involves reassessing relationships, work, and commitments that no longer serve your well-being. I found that saying 'no' became a powerful tool in honoring my own needs. It wasn't easy at first—there’s often pressure to please others or maintain old patterns—but embracing discernment helped me reclaim my time and emotional space. The path to inner peace is personal, yet many find strength in community support and sharing stories. On my own inner peace journey, I've learned that it’s perfectly okay to prioritize yourself without guilt. Setting boundaries can initially feel 'too much,' but it's actually a courageous and wise choice that protects your mental and emotional health. If you feel drained or dishonored by certain aspects of your life, consider this your gentle pause—take a moment to reflect on what truly matters. Remember, you're not difficult; you are discerning. This mindset shift can transform your life, encouraging growth and authentic connections. Choose yourself with kindness—your peace is worth it.

That’s such a good reminder. Knowing what you want and what you won’t accept is a form of self respect. 💛✨

What you should’ve learned in health class
Health class is already so brief and it blows my mind that only 1 semester is allocated to learning how to take care of the physical body. This being said, health class usually completely neglects the emotional and mental health education that would benefit adolescence in their development and abil
