journaling prompt:✨wondrous✨

✨prism prompt✨

when was the last time something simple left you utterly delighted? as women navigating the complexities of today’s busy world, it’s easy to overlook the beauty and quiet wonder that gently presents itself in a 24-hour day. yet, according to psalm 66:5, cultivating a sense of the wondrous in our lives is something we’re each called to do.

the directive the psalmist gives was always intended to inspire us to pause, prompting us to intentionally seek out and savor wondrous moments while looking for God's hand in the everyday. whether it’s taking a walk in nature and marveling at creation, engaging in an activity that brings joy, or spending time with people we love and feeling the sweetness of the Father's presence as we’re together—we were made for wonder.

what’s filled you with a sense of delight this season? can you pinpoint moments when small, seemingly ordinary things recently brought you joy? God’s desire is that you see those moments as gifts where He is inviting you to slow down and embrace what He’s woven into every day.

before you move on, grab a journal and jot down areas where you’ve recently encountered wonder. then dialogue with Jesus about how you can create more space for wondrous moments in your life. finally, write a prayer asking Him to help you stay aware of those experiences that draw your heart toward God and fill it with delight. as you do, we believe you’ll be awakened to a deeper connection with Him.

... Read moreIn a world where we often rush through our days, taking a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the 'wondrous' can be transformative. Journaling serves as a powerful tool for reflection, allowing us to capture those fleeting moments of awe and delight. This week's prompt invites you to explore recent instances that brought you joy. These could be as simple as a beautiful sunset, a meaningful conversation, or a quiet moment of gratitude. By identifying these experiences, you enable yourself to cultivate a mindset of appreciation and mindfulness. Research indicates that gratitude practices can lead to improved mental well-being and increased happiness. Regular journaling about what fills us with wonder not only enhances our spiritual awareness but also fosters a greater sense of peace in our lives. As you engage with these prompts, consider incorporating mindfulness techniques such as meditation or deep breathing to center yourself and open your heart to the wonders all around. Furthermore, sharing your insights with a community or trusted friends can magnify the joys you discover, creating connections that further enrich your spiritual journey. Embrace this opportunity to deepen your relationship with God as you search for and reflect on the wonders that life presents.
