newest journaling prompt:✨perception✨
have you ever sat with an open bible before you and been struck by the radical difference between your way of thinking and Jesus’?
even after walking with God for years, we can still marvel at how different our initial perspective can be from His own regarding something. thankfully, the Father is committed to renewing our perception and aligning us with His ways.
for many of us, fear, painful experiences, and unhealthy relationships have tried to distort our view of the Father, His ways, and the people around us. but the finished work of Jesus, we’ve been empowered to know the things of God through the Spirit of God (1 corinthians 2:9-12).
romans 12:2 reminds us to “be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.” as the Spirit renews your mind, your perception begins to change. what once felt hidden, confusing, or distorted, becomes illuminated by truth and revelation.
God is continually inviting you to see through the lens of His truth rather than the limitations of past experiences. as you spend time with Him, expect His presence to lift the veil. what once seemed confusing will become clearer as He reveals more of His character, His heart, and His love.
what might God be inviting you to see differently today?
reflect + respond:
find a quiet place and invite the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where fear, disappointment, pain, assumptions, or limited understanding have shaped your view. ask Him to renew the way you think and help you see more clearly from His perspective.
as He speaks, make note of anything that stands out to you. if He highlights a specific belief or perception, search the scriptures and allow His truth to reshape the way you see that situation, person, or circumstance.
is there an area in your life that feels uncertain or unclear? ask God if you’ve been seeing it through a limited perspective, and thank Him for giving you eyes to see it through His.
through the finished work of Jesus, you’ve been empowered to live with renewed perception and transformed thinking. as the Spirit renews your mind, you’ll increasingly see God, yourself, and the world around you through the lens of truth.
