Safety 1st, Sauna 2nd
It's hard to relax if you don't feel safe 1st. While every sauna is a bit different, here are just a few things we do to make sure our guests are safe.
1. Guardrails act as an important reminder that the stove is in fact hot, like really hot! They create a barrier that can safeguard you from accidental trips, decreasing the chance of burns.
2. Temperature and humidity gauges help you decide on how long you'll stay in, whether to put more water on the rocks, and how you're feeling compared to previous sauna sessions. But remember, listen to your body first!
3. First aid kit is pretty self explanatory, and we hope you never need to use it. But of course, it's always best to be prepared.
4. The stairs to our sauna have an edge that sits under the trailer frame, which keeps the stairs locked in place. Grips on the edges also help to prevent slips, trips, and falls.
5. Natural fire starters are a great alternative to petroleum-based firestarters. They help to keep the air clean from toxins that could cause respiratory irritations.
6. Fire extinguisher just in case a spark flies out when you're stoking the fire. Of course the stove door should always be closed otherwise, but the fire extinguisher is ready nearby, just in case.
