Someone mentioned a practitioner who charges $1,500 for a session...
Here’s my perspective.
I believe people deserve to be well paid for their time, training, and expertise. Years of learning have value, and there is nothing wrong with charging accordingly.
I just choose a different MODEL to the same idea.
I offer sliding-scale pricing because I don’t want someone’s financial situation to determine whether they have access to healing and insight. Take a look!

In my experience as a practitioner, offering sliding scale pricing not only reflects my values but also creates a more inclusive environment where people from diverse financial backgrounds can access the healing and insight they need. Charging a fixed high fee can create unnecessary barriers and foster scarcity mentalities, which I believe do not align with the true purpose of healing work. Sliding scale models are powerful because they recognize that the value of a session can vary depending on each person's financial situation. What may be affordable for one individual could be prohibitive for another. This approach promotes equity, allowing more people to benefit from spiritual guidance and support without feeling excluded due to cost. Moreover, this pricing strategy encourages trust and openness between practitioner and client. Clients feel respected and valued beyond monetary terms, which enhances the therapeutic relationship and the effectiveness of the session itself. It’s also important to note that sliding scale pricing can coexist with professional integrity and fair compensation for the practitioner's time and expertise. Personally, I also provide pro bono sessions and Indigenous rates to honor cultural sensitivities and foster community healing. This holistic and empathetic business practice has deepened my connection with clients and reinforced my belief that spiritual and wellness work should be accessible, ethical, and rooted in kindness. For those considering spiritual or healing services, I encourage you to seek practitioners who offer flexible pricing or are open about their rates. This transparency helps build trust and ensures that healing is not a privilege reserved for the few but a resource available to all who need it.
