NEW gf + vegan scones!!

I was so excited to find these at target!! They’re completely allergy friendly, gluten free, dairy free and vegan. Only 6g of sugar.

What I loved:

- this isn’t just sweet Loren’s chocolate chip cookie dough in scone shape - these are lightly sweet, fluffy and buttery.

- the dough tastes amazing!!

- they’re the perfect size for a little snack and just taste so good!

What I disliked:

- the package instructions said 15-17 min bake time. I did 15 minutes and my scones were BURNT on the bottom. We cut the bottoms off and they were still delicious.

- not *as clean* ingredient wise as other sweet Loren’s products

- kind of crumbly? But I think that’s a scone thing so not a bid deal imo

Have you tried these yet??

... Read moreAs someone who has struggled to find convenient, allergy-friendly snacks that don’t compromise on taste, discovering Sweet Loren’s gluten-free and vegan scones at Target was a real treat. These scones not only cater to those with gluten and dairy sensitivities but are also vegan, making them suitable for a broad range of dietary preferences. One impressive feature is their relatively low sugar content—only 6 grams per serving—which keeps them sweet but not overwhelming. From my experience, these scones defy the typical dense or dry texture often associated with gluten-free baked goods. They are surprisingly fluffy and have a buttery richness that isn’t overly sweet or artificial. The dough itself tastes fresh and flavorful, which made me appreciate them as more than just a convenient snack; they feel like a small indulgence. I did find that the baking time suggested on the packaging led to some burning on the bottoms, which was a bit disappointing. From trial and error, reducing the bake time slightly or placing a baking sheet underneath can help prevent this. Despite this, even the burnt bottoms were easy to trim off, and the rest of the scone remained yummy and satisfying. Regarding the ingredients, while these scones are allergy-friendly, I noticed the ingredient list isn’t as simplified as some other products from Sweet Loren’s. This might be a consideration for those seeking ultra-clean labels, but for me, the taste and convenience outweighed this. The crumbly texture is typical of scones in general and not a fault of these specifically. They held together just enough for snacking without falling apart completely. If you’re exploring gluten-free or vegan snack options, I definitely recommend giving these scones a try. They are perfect for a quick breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up that aligns with allergy needs without sacrificing flavor or texture. Have you discovered any other snacks like these?
