I’m running the NYC Marathon 💙 Tap the link in bio to help me raise money for mental health!

2 days agoEdited to

... Read moreEmbarking on marathon training is both a physical and emotional journey, and for me, it’s deeply intertwined with a cause close to my heart: mental health awareness. As a size 8 runner on day 6 of my NYC Marathon training, the experience has been transformative in more ways than one. Training for such a demanding event pushes you to your limits, teaching you discipline, resilience, and the importance of self-care. I’ve found that setting small, achievable goals keeps me motivated, whether it’s covering a certain distance or improving my pace. Listening to my body to avoid injury is crucial, especially when balancing training with mental wellness. Raising money for mental health during this challenge gives the miles more meaning. It reminds me that every step is not just about personal achievement but about supporting a community that often faces stigma and silence. Sharing my progress publicly has connected me with many encouraging supporters who amplify the message that mental health matters. If you’re thinking about training for a marathon or any big personal challenge, I encourage you to find a purpose that fuels your motivation. Whether it’s a charity, a cause, or personal growth, having that deeper reason can transform your journey. Your support, whether through donations or encouragement, means the world. Together, we can cross the finish line not only stronger and healthier but also more compassionate and aware of mental health needs.

It still feels so surreal that next year I'll be running the NYC marathon with Team For Kids! From someone that has only been running since early 2024 to now going to be running the NYC marathon next year is insane to even say. I know from being from New York that I've wanted to run this race even

WHY I REMOVED THIS ONE THING FROM MY RESUME
In order to secure a job in NYC, I had to have a very strong application (because it is so competitive), and my resume was a key factor for this. If there's one thing you take away from this post, let it be this: do not include high school accomplishments on your work resume. It's stale and
