Blood Orange Syrup

Ingredients:

• 1 c fresh blood orange juice

• 3/4 c sugar

• 1 tsp blood orange zest

Instructions:

1. Squeeze fresh blood oranges and strain the juice to remove pulp.

2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the blood orange juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

3. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.

4. Remove from heat, let it cool, then transfer to a bottle or jar. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
