Taping inside corners with CAN AM
Taping inside corners is one of the more challenging aspects of drywall finishing, especially when aiming for a seamless look. From my own experience working with CAN AM tools, their equipment really stands out for its precision and ease of use. The design allows better control when applying tape in tight angles, making it easier to avoid bubbles and wrinkles that can cause problems later. When preparing to tape inside corners, start by cutting your drywall tape to a manageable length. White paper tape is most common, but fiberglass mesh tape can also be used depending on your project requirements. Next, apply a thin, even layer of joint compound (mud) along the inside corner using a drywall knife. With CAN AM corner tools, the shaping is smoother and more consistent. I found that using a corner trowel or banjo specifically designed for these inside angles helped significantly reduce the effort needed to get a clean finish. After embedding the tape firmly into the joint compound, apply a second coat of mud over the tape, feathering the edges to blend with the surrounding wall. Allow sufficient drying time between coats, sanding lightly to remove any ridges or bumps. CAN AM tools also sometimes include sanding attachments that make this process quicker and less dusty. Overall, leveraging CAN AM products when taping inside corners not only saves time but improves the durability of your drywall joints. With patience and practice, this method produces professional results that enhance any drywall project.
