1915 Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles

This was such a yummy meal on a cold day. This was the original beef soup and it was really good. It’s not spicy but they do have spicy options if you like spice. You can pick the type of thickness you want your noodles and I got regular. The soup came out fast not a long wait. It was yummy and flavorful and filling. It smelled good as well. The workers everyone there was super nice it was a great atmosphere. It’s not a big restaurant. I would definitely go again. Price isn’t too expensive as well. ☺️❤️

... Read moreAfter my visit to 1915 Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles in NYC, I felt compelled to share a bit more about what makes their beef noodle soup truly stand out, especially for those searching for authentic Lanzhou flavors. First off, let's talk about the star of the show: the Lanzhou beef noodle soup itself. What makes it so unique and satisfying? It's all about the perfect harmony of its five key elements: clear broth, tender beef, hand-pulled noodles, fresh radish, and aromatic cilantro. The original beef soup, as I experienced, boasts a surprisingly clear yet incredibly flavorful broth. It’s traditionally simmered for hours with beef bones and various spices, resulting in a depth of flavor that's both comforting and invigorating. It’s not just a soup; it’s a taste experience that feels genuinely nourishing, perfect for beating the NYC chill. Then there are the hand-pulled noodles. This is where the artistry comes in! Watching (or just imagining) the chefs stretching and pulling the dough right before your eyes to create strands of varying thickness is part of the magic. I opted for the regular thickness, which was perfectly chewy and absorbed the rich broth beautifully. But the beauty is you can choose! Whether you prefer thin, wide, flat, or round, they have options to suit your preference, ensuring every bite is tailored to your liking. The texture of these fresh noodles truly elevates the entire bowl. The toppings are simple yet essential. Thin slices of tender beef, often braised to perfection, melt in your mouth. The addition of translucent radish slices adds a subtle sweetness and a slight crunch, while a generous sprinkle of fresh cilantro brightens the whole dish with its herbaceous aroma. And for those who love a kick, while the original broth is not spicy, don’t hesitate to ask for their chili sauce! I noticed a small bowl of fiery red chili sauce on the side in the images, which is perfect for customizing the heat level to your liking – a must-try if you enjoy some spice. Beyond the incredible food, the experience at 1915 Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles is noteworthy. Despite being a smaller restaurant in bustling Manhattan, the atmosphere felt welcoming, and the service was remarkably fast. You get your steaming hot bowl of Lanzhou beef noodle soup delivered quickly, which is always a plus when you're hungry! And talking about value, the price point for such high-quality, authentic hand-pulled noodles in NYC is definitely reasonable, making it an excellent spot for a regular satisfying meal. If you’re looking for genuine Lanzhou hand pulled beef noodles, particularly the kind with that beloved clear broth and fresh ingredients, this spot should be at the top of your list. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an authentic taste of China right here in New York City. Don't miss out on this Manhattan gem for a truly comforting and delicious bowl of soup.
