Things I didn’t expect to cry about at my wedding 😭🤍

5 days agoEdited to

... Read moreReflecting on my wedding day, I realized it’s the unexpected moments that leave the deepest emotional marks, not just the big highlights like vows or the first dance. For example, seeing my parents all dressed up in their finest touched me more than I anticipated. It was a special reminder of family bonds and the generations coming together. Another unforgettable moment was hearing everyone cheer right after the ceremony. It felt like time paused, and I could truly feel the support and love surrounding us. This cheer wasn’t planned or rehearsed, but it created a magical atmosphere that I now cherish. One of the most unique emotional experiences came from hearing voice messages from family and friends after the wedding through a service called Dial Moments. These heartfelt messages added a personal and lasting connection that extended beyond the day itself. Beyond the big gestures, the quiet, in-between moments with my partner proved to be the most meaningful. Taking a breath to soak in the day, sharing a glance or a touch, helped ground me amid the excitement and reminded me why we were celebrating. My advice for future brides is to slow down and truly savor each moment, including those tiny, seemingly ordinary instances. Often, these are the memories that stick with you and bring a smile — or tears — long after the day has passed.

What I didn’t expect when starting nursing school!
1. To make friends There is a stigma that nurses are mean girls so I was genuinely frightened by my classmates but friends in the same major as you are ESSENTIAL. 2. Learning on the first day When I say I was shook I truly was, it was down to business and made it feel super overwhelming. GIVE

5 things I dislike about thrifting as a thrifter
1. Prices are becoming outrageous for PRE-WORN clothing. I won’t blame it only on resellers but that definitely contributes to the problem. As a college student, thrifting is what I can afford and now some things I’m finding are out of my budget these days. 2. People who are snobby about brands

Have journal prompts ever made you cry?
I didn’t expect journaling to hit me like this — but these five prompts touched places I hadn’t looked at in a long time. One asked what I’m still carrying that doesn’t belong to me. Another asked what I need but never say out loud. Another asked who I am when no one expects anything from me.
