I’ve come so far…
It’s so cool to see how far I’ve come!!! The Museum has influenced so much of my work #book8 #paranormalromance #gothicromance #ghoststory #gothic
It’s truly a wild ride, isn't it? When I look back at where I started with my writing, it feels like a different lifetime. There’s a certain magic in seeing your vision grow from a tiny spark into something tangible, like my paranormal and gothic romance novels. The original article touched on how far I've come, and honestly, sometimes I’m just 'Wiped out, but the tour was grand,' as a writer friend once joked – especially after finishing a new manuscript or series! My journey really accelerated when 'The Museum' entered the picture. It wasn't just a building; it became a muse, a spectral presence in itself. I was looking for something that could ground my ghost stories in a richer, more atmospheric setting, and that’s exactly what it provided. The history seeping from its walls, the forgotten whispers in its corridors—it all fed directly into the haunting backdrops and intricate plots of my books. This was the moment of "HOW IT STARTED VS... HOW IT'S GOING" for my creative process. It transformed my understanding of what gothic fiction could be, pushing me to delve deeper into the interplay of love, loss, and the supernatural. For me, the allure of gothic romance isn't just about shadowy castles and forbidden love; it's about the psychological depth, the intense emotions, and the way the setting itself becomes a character. Add a paranormal twist, and you’re exploring the boundaries of reality, making readers question what lies beyond. This blend is what I strive for in every story, especially in my ‘The Society Travelers Series Volume 1’. Crafting these narratives, where spirits linger and secrets refuse to stay buried, is both challenging and exhilarating. One of the most exciting developments has been seeing my book, 'She Plays For Ghosts,' come to life. It’s a project that truly embodies the spirit of my work, intertwining a compelling romance with genuine ghostly encounters and a rich, historical atmosphere. Developing characters who navigate these supernatural landscapes, finding love amidst the spectral whispers, is incredibly rewarding. It’s about building worlds where every creak of the floorboards could be a warning, and every fleeting shadow might hold a secret. The path of an independent author is filled with its own set of 'ghosts'—doubt, endless revisions, and the quest to find your audience. But the joy of connecting with readers who resonate with your stories, who fall in love with your characters, makes every late night and every challenge worth it. My hope is always to transport you to another time, another place, where the veil between worlds is thin, and love can transcend even death. What about you? Have you ever visited a place that just screams 'ghost story' to you? Or maybe you have a favorite gothic or paranormal romance that truly captivated your imagination? I'd love to hear your thoughts and recommendations! It’s all part of this incredible adventure we share, exploring the mysteries of the heart and beyond.
