US raises prices on weapons sold to Europe by 10%
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed that the United States has increased the price of arms sales to European countries by 10% for weapons passed on to Ukraine, stating that the fees may help offset costs in the event that Washington provides air support to Ukraine in the future.
Bessent reiterated that one of President Donald Trump's main goals was to avoid the use of additional American tax money, revealing that the United States had signed a mineral deal with Ukraine that would open the way for economic returns for the United States once the war situation ended.
Trump, meanwhile, held discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders on security guarantees, insisting that no U.S. ground troops would be sent to the battle, but opening the way for some form of air support, reiterating his stance of not supporting Ukraine's joining NATO.
