3 Solution Measures Going on the Wrong Freeway to Kanchanaburi
The Highways Department issued a notice for the solution of the problem. In the case of a user experiencing an incorrect navigation application that accidentally entered the Bang Yai-Kanchanaburi motorway with the following content:
(Oct 5, 2025) The Highways Department clarifies and accelerates the resolution. In case of a user experiencing an online navigation application, incorrectly advised to enter the M81 motorway (Bang Yai - Kanchanaburi) during the trial period, the Highways Department is aware of the confusion and is not complacent about the problem and has taken urgent corrective action under key measures as follows:
1. Measures to Problem M81 Inlet Navigation by Accelerating Improvement of "Traffic Signs and Symbols" to Isolate Routes to Maximum Clarity, which the Highways Department directs the relevant authorities; Accelerate the Installation of M81 Expressway Guidance Signs, Warning Signs and Traffic Markers on the Road Surface to Become Even More Clear and Notable, Especially Entrance-Out and Key Access Points such as Bang Yai Area (Ratanathibesar Road) to Resolve Confusion and to enable Drivers to Decide Route Correctly Between Those Who Want to Use the Motorway and Those Traveling to Other Destinations. Currently, the Highways Department has installed signs and Symbols on the Road Surface Navigating Into M81 to reinforce navigation clarity, make path users easier to distinguish.
2.Coordinate with the online navigation application provider directly to check and update the entry-exit point, checkpoint and on-off date information, including the restriction on the correct and up-to-date use of the route during the trial period, to ensure safety and reduce communication discrepancies with the user of the way.
3. If driving stray on the M81
It is recommended to go out to Nakhon Chai Si checkpoint, enter T.3233 and U-turn to return to M81, head to Bang Yai, about 15 minutes from Nakhon Chai Si.
