Bookcase Reimagined
It started as a bookcase. But I didn’t want it to look like one. So I put my creative thinking cap on…and reimagined it! First things first…I breathed new life into the bookcase with paint. Then I added the leopard print to the back of the cabinet with Mod Podge. By the way, wrapping pape

Touches Of Fall..Client Project
My favorite part…telling the story behind the design. For this client project, the goal was simple. The client wanted to… • Stay true to her existing color scheme. • No themed décor. • Just a few pieces to welcome the season. • Easy to take down and store away until next Fall. The wr

Before Fall Arrives…Moments part 2
…and the promise of an evening shower. Sometimes the best moments aren’t the ones we plan… they’re the ones we slow down enough to notice and enjoy. I’ll be back next week. Maybe. 😜 Chat soon… #LifesLittleMoments #SlowLiving #EverydayJoy #NatureTherapy #TheyCallMeZsaZsa

Before Fall Arrives…I’m taking a vacation.
Not the kind that requires a suitcase and a ticket. But the kind that allows me to slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy life’s little moments. A sunrise over the lake. The lake coming alive with light… ducks, birds, rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional alligator. The smell of fresh-cu

I Just Wanted New Welcome Mats
I wasn’t looking for another DIY project. I simply wanted new welcome mats. My plan… Go to the store. Find a pair I loved. Bring them home. Put them in place. End of story. I was feeling fancy because I had a few decorating coins in the budget. So I hopped in my minivan a

Mix with Confidence
I wanted a tablecloth for my dining table, but I didn’t want to spend any money. So…I shopped my house. While looking around, I stumbled upon a stack of fabric swatches that had been given to me by a vendor years earlier. I knew I could make this work. I picked up the bin and headed str

The Power of Candle Light
My biggest challenge was making this screened porch feel like an actual room instead of just a patio. I wanted to create a cozy, cocoon feeling without blocking the view. The white sheer fabric softened the space, and the twinkle lights behind it added depth and just enough drama. Laying the

See Design Differently
My friends are the cat’s meow. I’m the person they call when they find items that need a little TLC. They must think I have a design solution for everything. Apparently, the same holds true for clothing. A friend gave me this dress. It wasn’t my size, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the

The Power of Fabric
Can fabric make or break a design? Maybe… I’m not one for strict decorating guidelines. I believe your home should reflect… YOU! Choose fabrics that suit your style, your personality, and how you live. That’s the power of fabric… the freedom to choose what you love. Because style is perso

I Needed Taller Lamps So I Created My Own
To create the lamp, I used a plate cover for the shade, a piece of bamboo for the stem, and discarded wood for the base. Simple materials, but together they gave me the height and look I needed. The lamps were used in two completely different projects—a bedroom and a buffet console—but they work

Can You Believe I Said Yes!
My friend John owned a junk store, and I was probably his best customer. 😜 I purchased a 1920s waterfall bed, and he threw in these bar stools as a gift with purchase. Yes… it’s a pair. 🤷🏿‍♀️ He was being fancy… like those high-end retail stores. 😜 A good cleaning. A little paint. A n

Challenge accepted!
This week I created a teeny tiny entryway where one didn’t exist. This entire entryway fits into a 14” × 66” footprint. Instead of going out to shop, I shopped my house, and created a functional landing spot using items I already owned. No new furniture. No pressure to buy the “perfect”

I Created a Coffee Station for $0
Hello Beautiful Souls, This little coffee station came together for exactly zero dollars. I shopped my house and pulled together a decorative tray, a few jars, storage containers, and my favorite floral teacup. Nothing new. Nothing fancy. Just a simple way to keep my coffee, tea, and

I Doubled My Closet Storage Without Expanding It
Hello Beautiful Souls, This closet transformation happened years ago, but it’s still one of my favorite projects. The closet didn’t have enough storage for the way I actually live, so I got creative. I added corner shelving for shoes, made use of the vertical space, and gave everything a

Life Was Life-ing, So I Made Pineapple Juice
One pineapple and a cucumber later, I had a fresh glass of sunshine. Hello Beautiful Souls, Last week was full. The kind of week where you’re crossing things off your list but somehow the list keeps growing. Instead of tackling another project, I decided to keep things simple and make fres

From Empty Corner To Office Nook
This little corner wasn't doing much of anything. But I could see the possibilities. The first step was adding a small desk. Nothing fancy. Just enough space to work and create. Next, came the chair. Amazing how one piece of furniture can start making a space feel intentional.

From Chaise to Cozy Daybed!
The finished look! My chaise lounge is now a cozy daybed for overnight guests. First things first, I added a dust ruffle to give it a more bed-like look. Next, I layered on a flat sheet. Then I added a soft, cozy green blanket for comfort, a few pillows, and a white throw. Now, we're
