Lessons from sweets

One day, a girl walked into a small candy shop that the shopkeeper took care of by heart. She took a small piece of cake and sat quietly at the table.

The shopkeeper smiled and asked softly.

"What dessert do you want to try today or have a story?"

She sighed hard.

"I'm just heartbroken. The love that I thought would last and end in time."

The shopkeeper nodded.

"It's like an uncooked cake. It looks delicious outside, but it's not ready inside."

She chuckled.

"Yes, sometimes we want to believe that everything is fine, but something takes time."

The shopkeeper picked up the sweet color macaron.

"Macaron seems fragile, but it takes tenderness to do it, or it will break easily. Love, too, must take care of it with heart, care and patience."

She asked in a sad tone.

"If love is broken, what should we do?"

The shopkeeper replied.

"Sometimes a broken snack, we may not eat it again, but we can learn to make a better new snack."

She smiled thinly while scooping the cake in her mouth.

"Thank you for making love look like a snack to learn, not just pain."

The shopkeeper replied in a warm voice.

"I hope your heart will rest and be ready to bake your new love soon."
