Celebrating the big 60/30 dirty for life. 10/25
Dirty 30 for life. I am blessed beyond words there are some people that lay down and they don’t wake up. I am blessed. I may have a lot of health issues but I’m blessed the big six of 1025 Saturday.
You know, turning 30, often affectionately (or perhaps mischievously) called 'Dirty 30,' is such an interesting milestone. For me, it's not just another birthday; it’s a moment to truly pause and reflect on everything that has led me to this point. I've always heard the term, and it usually conjures images of wild celebrations, a last hurrah before supposedly 'settling down.' But what does 'Dirty 30' really mean? From what I’ve gathered and observed, it’s a playful nod to embracing your youth, your freedom, and perhaps a little bit of rebellion before stepping fully into what society often expects from a thirty-something. It’s about being bold, confident, and unapologetically yourself. It’s a time when you’re often more comfortable in your own skin, have a clearer sense of purpose, and are ready to tackle new challenges head-on. There's a certain wisdom that comes with leaving your twenties behind, but also a desire to keep that youthful spirit alive. For me personally, reaching my 'Dirty 30' this October 25th, on a Saturday no less, feels incredibly profound. The original post touches on feeling blessed despite health issues, and I couldn't agree more. It’s a powerful reminder that every single day is a gift. When you navigate life with certain challenges, these milestones take on an even deeper significance. It's not just about the number; it's about the journey, the resilience, and the sheer gratitude for being here, present, and experiencing life. So, how does one celebrate this 'Big 30' or even the 'Big 60/Dirty 30' milestone? It's really about what resonates with you. Some prefer grand parties, living up to the 'dirty' part with a night of letting loose with friends. Others might opt for a more introspective approach, like a quiet dinner, a weekend getaway, or even starting a new personal project. It could be about setting new goals for the decade ahead – a career change, a new hobby, or focusing more on well-being. What truly matters is honoring the person you’ve become and looking forward to the person you're evolving into. This year, my celebration isn’t just about marking another year; it’s about acknowledging the incredible blessing of life itself. It’s a friendly reminder, as the hashtags often say, to cherish the moments, embrace the challenges, and always find something to be grateful for. Whether you’re turning 30, 40, 50, or beyond, every milestone is an opportunity for reflection, growth, and celebrating the unique journey that is yours. It's about being 'Dirty 30 for life' in spirit – living fully, embracing joy, and finding blessing in every single day.
