Is this normal?

I have recently been having short and light periods which are often only 24 hours of light/medium flow and then extremely light bleeding/spotting for another couple of days. This period has literally been one day of very light flow and now just spotting. They also start out with 1 day brown spotting. My gynaecologist is not concerned about this and says I’m just lucky, but something makes me feel this isn’t right?

My gynae is pretty certain I ovulate monthly as I get all the symptoms (EWCM, temp surge, ovulation pain) and my periods are regular to the day (30 day cycles). I also get full PMS symptoms before each period and cramping etc, so they definitely seem like proper periods in that sense.

I used to have heavy, 5 day periods from when they started at 11 until a medical termination of pregnancy at 6 weeks (no D&C or surgery) which happened 2 years ago. After then, I had one heavy period and then after the next they became much lighter. Some months are heavier than others but on the whole very light.

I am not trying for a baby at the minute but would like to in the near future and would like to know my fertility is OK. Has anybody else experienced this and know if it genuinely is normal? If not, any suggestions of where to go from here?

... Read moreExperiencing short and light periods can be concerning, especially if you are used to heavier flows. It's important to recognize that changes in menstrual patterns can occur due to various factors including hormonal changes, stress, or medical conditions. After a medical termination, hormonal adjustments can lead to lighter periods. In terms of fertility, many women with lighter periods still ovulate regularly and maintain their reproductive health. However, if you notice significant changes or have concerns, it's always advisable to seek a second opinion from a healthcare provider. They may suggest monitoring your cycle or conducting tests to rule out any underlying issues. Keep in mind that variations in the menstrual cycle are common, and for many women, they can fluctuate over time. It's part of the body's natural rhythm. Tracking your periods using an app can provide insights over a few months and help you notice patterns which might aid in discussions with your doctor. If you are planning to conceive in the future, understanding your cycle will be beneficial. Remember to listen to your body and don’t hesitate to reach out for professional advice.

I would get a second opinion on it honestly. Go to someone new maybe get a scan to see if everything is good and stuff you can never be too careful.

So I’ve never really dealt with any chest pain. I get light headed when I stand up. I’m always tired and have no energy but I also can’t sleep when I lay down. This so probably isn’t the best place to go to for medical advice, however, does anyone else suffer from symptoms like this with a heart

my underarm hair seems to be thicker and coarser than most people I know. It grows back pretty quickly after shaving too, which adds to the whole jungle-underarm vibe I've got going on. Is this just a normal body hair variation, or could something else be at play? Anyone else out there dealing

Lived-In, Loved, and Totally Normal House 🏠
I used to feel like my home had to look picture-perfect all the time. But you know what? This is real life. There are dog toys, cords, mismatched furniture—and I love it! It’s lived in, warm, and ours. And that’s what makes it special. Real homes tell real stories—and that matters more than perfect
