LETS TALK ABOUT EPILEPSY

i recently got diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy, although i’ve been having seizures since i was 7 (i’m 22).

of course, this is a really scary thing and honestly life changing, but im doing my best to continue living my life as best as i can, trying not to stress about it.

has anyone else recently been diagnosed and wants to share about it? no one in my family has this except for me and i feel like we need to support each other as best as we can!

I was diagnosed at 38!

I have Grand Mal seizures and my daughter was diagnosed with petit Mal seizures at 3 years old she’s now almost 8 and we are now on a genetic testing journey. They said she might grow out of it at 3 but they have only become more frequent.

Last week was Purple Day! It's Epilepsy awareness!! I don't know how many know, but I was diagnosed 16 years ago, when I was 21 years old with epilepsy. I was in the Army at the time, and the general guess is that duplicate vaccinations may have been the cause, but nobody really knows! 🤷‍♀️
