High Protein Pizza
Gluten-Free Fit Pizza with Turkey Ham, Spinach, and Light Cheese
Base (gluten-free dough):
• 1 cup gluten-free flour (all-purpose blend)
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• Water if needed to adjust texture
Toppings:
• 3-4 slices of low-sodium turkey ham (sliced)
• 1/2 cup fresh spinach (you can sauté it a bit)
• 1/2 cup shredded low-fat cheese (light mozzarella or similar)
• 2-3 tbsp natural tomato sauce (no added sugar)
• Oregano and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. In a bowl, mix all the dough ingredients until they form a ball. Knead lightly and roll out onto parchment paper to form a pizza crust.
3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes before adding the toppings.
4. Remove from the oven and add the sauce, cheese, ham, spinach, and seasonings.
5. Return to the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
