what this year has been like for me

#AskLemon8

this year has brought many many unexpected and heartbreaking challenges I've been battling cancer since 2021 and I've been doing extraordinarily well but this year my youngest son and his family decided I was more of a burden in my illness and caring for my disabled son to keep me honest family believe it or not and it broke my heart I'm praying to God everyday and have since it happened that day changed their views because I don't know how my son could ever think that way anyway family doesn't quit and I thought all my life are all his life I had taught him such but as many Lowe's as this year's had I'm still here fighting and that alone is enough to say victory with but I know it doesn't end that way and I know it only ends with a complete victory so I'm looking forward to the upcoming 2026 when I know I will finally win this battle.

... Read moreLiving with a chronic illness like cancer is an intense journey that tests not only physical health but also emotional and family dynamics. This year, the struggle has been especially tough, complicated by feelings of being misunderstood and labeled a burden by close family members. Caring for a disabled son adds another layer of responsibility and emotional weight, making the battle even harder. Many caregivers and patients face similar trials, where illness changes relationships and reveals hidden tensions. It’s natural to feel heartbroken when those we love don’t see or appreciate the sacrifices made. However, staying resilient and focusing on the hope for a complete recovery can provide motivation day by day. Prayer and personal faith often become important pillars of strength during such times, offering comfort and a way to find peace amid uncertainty. It is inspiring to hear that despite the lows, the spirit to keep fighting remains strong. This reflects the incredible power of the human will to overcome adversity. Looking ahead to 2026 with confidence of winning the battle reflects an optimistic mindset essential to recovery. Setting future goals provides purpose and direction, helping to maintain mental health through difficult periods. If you or your loved ones face similar challenges, know that you are not alone. Seeking support from communities, healthcare professionals, and counseling services can help cope with both cancer and family issues. Sharing stories like this encourages openness and understanding, reminding us all of the strength found in persistence and hope. Remember, every day you keep fighting is a victory in itself. The accompanying image caption “All Me!” symbolizes personal ownership of this difficult journey and the courage to remain authentic. Embracing one’s story fully allows healing not only of the body but the spirit as well.
