Instead, I’ve found that using lukewarm water is the secret. It’s gentle enough not to shock your skin, but warm enough to help thoroughly loosen and wash away excess sebum and dead skin cells that have accumulated during the night. Think of it as a gentle steam – it preps your skin beautifully for the next steps. After a lukewarm cleanse, the next game-changer for me was introducing a gentle exfoliating pad. And I emphasize *gentle*. Forget harsh scrubs that can irritate your skin and potentially exacerbate pore issues.
