✨Protein Powder Chocolatey Waffles✨

If you’re anything like me and struggle with the taste of protein powder (especially drinking it), try to sub it in to some recipes!

Here I made homemade waffles. I subbed half of the flour with protein powder off of a recipe I already knew. (I had chocolate flavored powder. You can use Vanilla, or any other. Feel free to experiment! 😊)

This recipe made 6 mini waffles (2 servings) that I cooked in a mini waffle maker. This can be made into pancakes on a stovetop as well. Just keep in mind these do not bubble like normal pancakes.

Ingredients:

•1/2 cup flour

•1/2 cup protein powder

•1/4 cup sugar (if desired)

•2 tsps baking powder

•2 tsps vanilla extract

•NON DAIRY milk or water (stir in 1/4 cup at a time until batter is smooth)

•1/2 cup chocolate chips (if desired)

^I couldn’t find my chips until the end so I topped my waffles with them after. You can add them in or use them as a topping.

Instructions:

•Whisk all dry ingredients into a bowl.

•Add wet ingredients.

•Whisk again, adding more milk and water until you are at the correct consistency.

•Pour batter onto a buttered pan/waffle maker.

•Cook until center is done.

•Top with whipped cream & syrup.

•Enjoy!
