Homemade Apple Pie Recipe

A yummy classic.😋🍎

YOU NEED:

⭐️Crust-

2 1/2 C flour

1 stick of butter, cold and cut into cubes

1 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 C water

⭐️Filling-

3 lb apples, peeled, cored and sliced thinly

2 Tbs lemon juice

1/2 C sugar

1/2 brown sugar

Cinnamon to taste

4 Tbs flour

RECIPE:

1. Mix all the dry ingredients of crust together, then cut in cubed up butter.

2.Add in water and knead until smooth. Cut into 2 even pieces.

3. Roll out one half, place into your pie pan and cut crust to fit pan.

4. Place your pie pan and remaining crust in the fridge until needed.

5. Peel, core and slice your apples thinly. Then toss them in lemon juice.

6. Bring a pot to medium heat and add in all your filling ingredients. Let that cook down about 20 minutes.

7. Transfer your filling into a bowl and place in the freezer to cool.

8. Once cooled, add filling into crust siding a slotted spoon (you will not need all the juice for your filling) and roll out your remaining crust to cut to desired Design. *I did strips and then cut a few in half and twisted them to create mine!

9. Bake at 400 until browned to your liking. I say mine baked around 40 minutes, but just keep at eye on it.
