Breaking Down the EXACT Cost of My Skincare

Breaking down the exact value of my nighttime skincare routine I did last night. Please read the disclaimer!! A lot of stuff was free, minis, and almost all of it I bought on sale. Very rarely do I pay full price for products. But weren’t you also shocked by that total?? Why is skincare SO expensive??

#skincare #pricebreakdown #price #skincareroutine #nighttimeskincare

5/2 Edited to

... Read moreWhen I first calculated the exact retail value of my nighttime skincare routine, I was as surprised as you might be at the $743.51 total. However, much of what I use comes from discounted prices, promotions, or mini sizes, so the actual amount I spend is much less. This highlights an important reality about skincare: while premium products can be pricey, savvy shopping can make a big difference. In my experience, patience and strategic buying are key. I often wait for sales, use coupons, or receive sample sizes that help me test products before committing to full-size purchases. For example, some items in my routine like the Cocokind Calming Magnesium Mist or Glow Recipe PDRN+ Repair & Soothe Toner Pads might have high retail prices, but I rarely pay full price for them. Another tip is to prioritize what your skin truly needs instead of chasing every new trend or product. Combining effective core products such as essences, serums with hyaluronic acid, or peptide boosters lets you maintain healthy skin without overspending. Masks and under-eye patches are great for special care but don’t need to be used daily. Tracking your skincare costs also helps you budget better and avoid unnecessary purchases. Remember, the goal is radiant, healthy skin, not just an expensive vanity. With the right approach, you can build a routine that fits your skin type and budget, making skincare accessible rather than overwhelming.
