POV: You’re a busy sports mom with goals💪

POV: You’re a #hockeymom on a health journey but spend most nights driving across country & this night you didn’t prepare…what’s a girl to do?!

I want to feel the best when I turn 50 next year I’ve ever felt! So I refuse to make a busy life my excuse & not reach that goal!

I realized starting a few years ago at this age, things just don’t work the same, I had to make a change and now I know to keep feeling amazing I have to sacrifice certain things, but it’s not what you think…because I’ve learned if you do it right, you actually DON’T feel deprived, you feel alive!!!

Things I’m willing to do to improve my life in this particular area👇What are some of yours👇Or are you stuck & need help👇:

-limited to no alcohol

-consistent use of metabolic supplements THAT WORK, I afford them by earning affiliate income (ask me) 👊

-get outside & walk every day

-lift weights

-eat as much whole foods, with more protein & good fats primarily as my focus, even if it’s from the gas station🤣

-choose fuelling foods that help me resist or eliminate cravings 90% of the time, so when I do indulge, I enjoy it occasionally “GUILT FREE” 🙌

-focus only on what I can control, I make the choices

-let them…yes I don’t care what anyone thinks or says about my choices, if it works for me I’ll do it

-put myself first so my cup is fuller to take care of my family

-do whatever it takes to reach my goals

One thing I learned early is that preparation doesn't have to be perfect to make healthy choices. Even when I don’t have time to plan meals, I look for whole food options, like high-protein snacks, at places like gas stations — yes, that’s totally doable! Walking daily helps me clear my mind and maintain consistent movement, which became vital as metabolism shifted with age. I also found strength training to be key—not just for muscle but for keeping energy levels stable throughout my busy days. Metabolic supplements have been supportive in my journey; I only advice those that truly work and fit my lifestyle. A huge mindset shift was embracing that self-care isn’t selfish. Putting myself first before family commitments means I show up better in all areas. Limiting alcohol and focusing on nutrient-dense foods help reduce cravings, so I indulge guilt-free on occasion without setbacks. For any fellow sports moms or women navigating health changes around 40 and 50, remember: your goals are valid despite the chaos. Prioritize what you can control, let go of judgment from others, and keep striving. It's not about perfection but feeling alive and thriving every day.
