GLP-1 medications can be powerful tools but they don’t replace nourishment.

If you’re eating too little or skipping nutrients, your body will push back.

However, it’s critical to emphasize that they are not magic solutions. Proper nourishment remains the foundation. Many people assume that because GLP-1 medications reduce hunger, they can eat significantly less or skip meals without consequences. But this often leads to nutrient deficiencies and fatigue because the body still requires essential vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients to function properly. For example, insufficient protein intake while on GLP-1 therapy can result in muscle loss and a slowed metabolism. I always advise my patients to focus on balanced meals rich in whole foods—think lean proteins, healthy fats, fiber-rich vegetables, and complex carbohydrates—to provide sustained energy and support overall well-being. Skipping meals or severely restricting calories tends to trigger the body's stress responses, making it harder to maintain weight loss and sometimes causing gastrointestinal issues. In short, GLP-1 medications are powerful tools that enhance metabolic regulation, but pairing them with mindful eating and adequate nourishment is key. Listening to your body's needs and ensuring you consume a wide range of nutrients will improve outcomes and prevent unwanted side effects. This holistic approach empowers you to achieve lasting health benefits while protecting your body’s resilience.

I noticed this in the beginning of my journey that eating food protein foods not staving yourself eating helps drops the weight but eating healthier protein foods and vegetables and low carbs and drink protein shakes when needed drink a lot of water no oily greasy foods is not good and least walking is good 30mins a day if possible and strength training to build muscle 💪
