As needed Faith
Yep! I’m guilty! I’m looking for something to turn out in my favor but when I don’t get it my way, I give up on God well, I’m here to tell you. It’s not right never quit on God because he never gave up on you. In fact, he’s still waiting for you now! #believegod #embracevulnerability #trustinggod #christian #faith #god
You know that feeling when you've prayed your heart out for something specific, and it just doesn't happen the way you envisioned? I’ve definitely been there, feeling frustrated and sometimes even ready to throw in the towel on my faith journey. It’s easy to feel like giving up when life throws curveballs, and our carefully laid plans fall apart. But then I came across a profound truth that completely shifted my perspective: 'Faith is not about everything turning out okay; faith is being okay no matter how things turn out.' This really hit home for me and has become an anchor in my spiritual life. This idea of faith enhancing personal resilience is incredibly powerful. It’s not about pretending everything is fine or ignoring our struggles; it’s about finding an inner strength that allows us to face challenges head-on, knowing we're not alone. For me, embracing this kind of faith means trusting that even when I can't see the full picture, there's a greater plan unfolding. It’s like when I was going through a really tough time, and my perfect plan completely fell apart. Instead of feeling utterly defeated, remembering that quote helped me lean into my faith. It wasn't easy, but knowing God had a bigger purpose gave me the resilience to keep going, even when I felt like throwing in the towel. So, what are the 'steps of faith' that help build this kind of resilience? For me, it starts with consistent prayer and reflection. It’s not just about asking for things, but truly listening, reflecting on my feelings, and seeking guidance. Another crucial step is diving into scriptures. They’re like a roadmap for life’s challenges, offering wisdom and encouragement when I need it most. There are so many verses that have become anchors for me. Romans 8:28, for example, reminds me that God works all things for good for those who love Him, even if I can't see it now. Or Philippians 4:13, which is such a powerful affirmation: 'I can do all this through him who gives me strength.' And Isaiah 41:10 truly speaks to God's unwavering support, assuring me, 'So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.' These verses reinforce the idea that I'm never truly alone and that strength is always available. Don't underestimate the power of community either. Sharing struggles and victories with others who believe helps so much. Sometimes, faith also means taking action – taking a small, obedient step, even if it's just a tiny leap, without knowing the whole outcome. It's about trusting that if God put it on your heart, He'll light the next step. This journey of faith isn't about avoiding difficulties; it's about navigating them with a spirit that refuses to be broken because you know you're held and loved. So, if you're feeling like giving up, just remember: God hasn't given up on you. Keep taking those steps of faith, lean into His strength, and trust that being okay, no matter what, is a powerful form of faith itself.
