Why I’m switching cleansers

For a few years I’ve been using the CeraVe acne cleanser, which helped a bit but my acne persisted. The past week, I’ve been using the Neutrogena Stubborn Acne cleanser and I’ve noticed my acne already clearing up! This is because I switched from a Salicylic Acid treatment to a Benzoyl peroxide treatment.

Salicylic acid works best clearing pores and acne like black and whiteheads, while Benzoyl peroxide works best clearing cystic and bacteria-caused acne! So if you’ve been using an acne cleanser but with no progress, it could be the wrong type of acne cleanser for you!
