Vanilla Cupcakes for Easter! 🥕

Ingredients:

🥕: 213 grams of all purpose flour

🥕: 200 grams of sugar

🥕: 1/4 tsp baking soda

🥕: 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

🥕: 1/4 tsp kosher salt

🥕: 170 g unsalted butter (melted)

🥕: 3 egg whites (room temp)

🥕: 1 tbsp vanilla extract

🥕: 1/2 cup sour cream (room temp)

🥕: 1/2 cup whole milk (room temp)

Buttercream Ingredients:

🥕: 900 grams powdered sugar

🥕: 450 grams unsalted butter (room temp)

🥕: 1 tsp vanilla extract

🥕: 1 tbsp heavy cream

🥕: 1 pinch kosher salt

🥕: 1 tsp whole milk

Steps:

1.) preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place cupcake liners in cupcake pan.

2.) Whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in the bowl.

3.) separate the eggs, keep the egg whites.

4.) in another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients until combined. (It’s ugly but trust)

5.) Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.

6.) distribute the batter evenly into cupcake liners, filling each paper with about 2/3 the way up

7.) bake for about 16 minutes (depends on your oven!)

Steps for Buttercream:

1.) in a stand mixer with paddle attachment, cream the butter for 3 minutes.

2.) add in powdered sugar slowly unless you want a mess.

3.) add salt, milk, cream, and vanilla. Mix until fluffy. To make the green grass, add either green or a mixture of equal blue and yellow with a little black food coloring.

4.) I put it into a piping bag with grass tip and tired out my hand piping the grass!
