I want some honest opinions‼️
Last year I started gaining a lot of weight and I didn’t feel like the blonde hair looked as good with my rounder face. (This is obviously just my own insecurities.) But I colored it nearly black and I haven’t gone back since….
Currently I’m on a weight loss journey and I am 20lbs down from when I FIRST colored my hair black and I’m looking for a change. A lot of my friends say “don’t go back blonde” but they won’t give me any real reasons not too. I just feel like with the summer and everything I would feel lighter and more confident and would honestly be more motivated to lose more weight. But I’m really struggling with the whole hair damage aspect of it all.
What do you guys think?
Changing hair color can impact not just your appearance but also your confidence. The decision to revert to blonde from a darker shade often comes with concerns about hair damage, particularly after a significant weight loss that might influence how you perceive your look. Many individuals hesitate to switch back out of fears of maintaining hair health, yet summer often inspires fresh starts. When considering blonde again, it’s essential to assess the condition of your hair post-coloring and whether your routine can support this change. Various hair care products designed for color-treated hair can help mitigate damage while transitioning between colors. Furthermore, consulting with a professional stylist may provide insights tailored to your specific hair type and color history. Don't forget that your hair color should ultimately reflect how you feel inside—a lighter shade might not only brighten your appearance but could also uplift your mood. Seeking opinions from friends can be beneficial, but embracing your personal journey is paramount. Let your instincts guide you as you navigate this choice!
