One significant sign is when your partner is overly attached to their phone—having it by their side constantly, even in the shower. This behavior often signals secrecy or avoidance. Moreover, if they become cagey or defensive when you casually mention dating apps like Tinder or Hinge, it's worth paying attention. I once searched a partner's name on a background service similar to Truesearch and found their profile was still active, which was a clear indication they were not being fully honest. Such red flags, while uncomfortable to confront, serve an important purpose—they alert you to potential issues before you get too invested. Trust your instincts and keep communication open, but don't hesitate to verify if something feels off. Being proactive about red flags empowers you to prioritize your emotional well-being and make informed decisions about who you invest your time in.

Over the years I’ve seen a lot of things in job postings I don’t love, many of which have now become red flags for me. And usually I won’t even apply if I see any of these! For me, I want to apply to (& work for) companies that value me and don’t want to get the most bang for their buck.
