Yesterday was a 9-hour production day.
10+ interviews.
Two cameras.
Back-to-back setups.
Nonstop movement.
But what makes days like this meaningful isn’t the workload. It’s the rooms I get to be in.

⇨ Rooms where stories are shared with honesty.
⇨ Rooms where impact is being built quietly and intentionally.
I’m trusted to document that. And that trust still humbles me. 🙏🏾
There were seasons where I wondered if this would ever feel stable… if I’d ever consistently work with aligned clients… if I’d ever be in rooms that felt like “this is where I belong.”
Now I may leave long days tired, but I’m deeply fulfilled.
Because it’s not just about filming. It’s about being part of something bigger than myself.

Filming a full day with women-led businesses has been one of the most inspiring experiences in my videography career. I remember one particularly intense day where I spent 9 hours downtown Toronto, filming over 10 interviews using two cameras in a back-to-back production. The logistics alone—packing gear, battling traffic, setting up softboxes and lighting, adjusting camera angles—could feel overwhelming, but the real reward came from the environment and people I was surrounded by. What strikes me most during shoots like this isn’t just the technical challenge but the spaces where women are leading with vision and authenticity. Being in rooms filled with honesty and intentional impact-building is humbling and motivates me to document their stories with care and dedication. Each interview reveals personal journeys and business philosophies deeply rooted in passion and empowerment. Managing multiple cameras, ensuring smooth transitions, and capturing candid B-roll moments pushes me creatively and technically. Yet, ending the day tired is outweighed by a profound sense of fulfillment. It’s a privilege to witness and contribute to the narratives of women entrepreneurs shaping industries and communities. Moreover, long commutes and hectic schedules become part of this larger purpose. Taking an Uber to avoid downtown Toronto traffic, setting up challenging lighting equipment, and maintaining a focused mindset throughout the shoot reflect the realities of videography in bustling urban contexts. For anyone aspiring to work in video production, especially with entrepreneurial and women-owned businesses, patience and adaptability are key. Embracing the unpredictability of daily shoots creates space for genuine storytelling and professional growth. Ultimately, it’s about more than filming—it’s joining a movement that uplifts women-led ventures and shares their impact with broader audiences.
