If you asked me 3 years ago how to use a camera, I would have laughed and said, “I have no clue.”
3 years later, that same camera has changed my life.
What started as a small step of faith became something I never could have fully planned for. God opened doors I didn’t even know existed, connected me with incredible people, allowed me to build a business, travel, create, and tell stories that matter.
There were moments I doubted myself, questioned if I was good enough, and wondered if I was on the right path. But God continued to guide my steps, even when I couldn’t see the full picture.
Looking back, I’m grateful I didn’t wait until I felt ready. Sometimes faith looks like picking up the camera, taking the first step, and trusting God to handle the rest.
Three years later, I’m still learning, still growing, and still amazed by what can happen when preparation meets purpose. 🎥✨

What truly made the difference was embracing the process with a mindset of faith and openness. Along the way, I realized that mastering a camera isn’t just about technical skills, but about telling stories that connect with people on a deeper level.
Consistency is key. Regularly practicing and experimenting with different shooting styles helped me improve my craft. I also found that joining creative communities and engaging with fellow photographers and videographers opened new doors for collaboration and inspiration.
One surprising aspect was how this venture expanded beyond just photography or videography. It became a lifestyle, enabling me to build a business from scratch, travel to new places, and share meaningful stories that resonate with viewers. The combination of preparation meets purpose became apparent as opportunities came unexpectedly.
Also, trusting the journey—even during moments of doubt—is crucial. There were times I questioned my skills or path, but persisting through those uncertainties and leaning on a higher guidance helped push forward. I encourage anyone curious or passionate about photography or videography to take that first step without waiting for the 'perfect' moment.
The equipped camera was a powerful tool, but what changed my life was embracing creativity with courage and faith. Over time, not only did my technical ability improve, but my perspective shifted towards seeing every frame as a chance to tell an important story.
Through this experience, I've learned that growth is ongoing and that the blend of faith, community, and consistent effort creates a fulfilling and impactful creative career. For those aspiring to follow a similar path, I recommend starting small, being patient with the learning curve, and staying open to unexpected possibilities.
