Can’t Pick a Career? Here’s What Helped Me…🌸

When I was younger, I used to hate when people asked, “So, what do you want to be?”

Because honestly… I wanted to be a lot of things.

I loved science, healthcare, people, and tech.

For a while, I thought something was wrong with me for not having one clear answer.

I studied dentistry, then got into public health, and now I’m building in AI healthcare, and somehow, it all connects.

Here’s what I’ve learned if you’re multi-passionate like me:

💡 You don’t have to pick one thing.. you just have to find your theme.

Mine was “helping people through innovation.”

That theme became my career anchor, and everything else grew from there.

So if you’re torn between paths, ask yourself:

“What’s the problem I never get tired of solving?”

That’s your clue.

Now I’m curious, what’s the field or topic you can’t stop thinking about, even when no one’s paying you for it? 👇

... Read moreChoosing a career can feel overwhelming when you have diverse interests and talents, especially if you’re interested in fields like science, healthcare, and technology all at once. The phrase captured from the image, "HOW to Pick a Career When You Like Too Many Things," really resonates with many people who face similar dilemmas. A valuable way to approach this challenge is to think in terms of themes, rather than specific job titles or industries. For example, a key insight is to explore what problems you are deeply motivated to solve or what activities you find yourself drawn to repeatedly—even outside of work or school settings. This can reveal your core passion or "career anchor." In practice, this means reflecting on moments when time flies by because you’re fully engaged or when you feel the most satisfied helping others. If your interests span healthcare and AI, ask yourself what threads connect these fields for you. Is it the innovation aspect, the chance to improve lives, or the problem-solving nature of the work? Identifying this "theme" can help you navigate through seemingly unrelated career options toward a role that feels cohesive and meaningful. It’s important to recognize that careers today often don't follow a straight path. Experiences in dentistry, public health, and AI healthcare can complement each other and collectively build a unique expertise. Embracing that your career can evolve—and that you don't need to limit yourself to one single title—can relieve pressure and open more fulfilling opportunities. Additionally, when you feel torn, consider the advice to ask: "What’s the problem I never get tired of solving?" This question can guide your exploration and clarify your long-term career direction. It also reflects the essence of user-generated content style stories: authentic, personal revelations shared to support others in similar situations. Ultimately, finding your career theme empowers you to connect your multi-faceted passions into a coherent path. It allows you to embrace a multi-passionate identity confidently, and to build a career that leverages your diverse talents and interests in meaningful ways.
