Malay Wedding Tips + Main Vendors!

they were my 3-1 package of vendor, catering & deco! i’ve been following them since 2019, and i have always found their deco to be so effortlessly classy but also includes the couple’s vibes! my husband actually at that pt of time saw they were hosting a wedding showcase at changi cove! so that was really our first experience to seeing anything related to weddings. we didn’t sign with them right away - because it was our first wedding showcase! but we did learn so much from them, and eventually we went to another wedding expo and saw them, chat up with them and we definitely knew we wanted to go with them! 🙏🏻 and we are so glad we did, they did such an amazing job capturing our mood-board (btw they don’t have fixed pelamin designs so yay - everything was up to our mood-board!!) not only that, communication was so easy with them! 🤩 that time our package also had a free emcee (and when we checked the emcee that was assigned to us - he was amazing! great reputation, on the event day itself, so many guests praised him). we also got a wedding coordinator for the day from them as part of our package! 📦
1st wedding tip: check for hidden prices 🧐
for my deco, i am so thankful i didn’t need to pay extra if i wanted to custom things like our mirror, all i had to do was provide the artwork and they did it. i’ve heard of some horror stories where they can’t even change the colour of the flowers without an additional charge 🤨 same goes with bridal! some bridal companies charge ur outfit whether it’s coming from their “exclusive” collection or latest etc..

we actually met the co-founder Hassan, and he shared his own wedding horror story about how there were so many hidden costs for his bridal experience thus why he decided to create shimamatinbridals! 😆
the bridal company is known for it’s amazing songket and affordability! we could choose any collection, any mua without any additional charge ~ i loved our nikah outfit but i really LOVED our songket! the process was so simple and they even allowed me to swap some accessories out ☺️
2nd wedding tip: check in with timelines!
different vendor, different timeline. like i was comparing notes 📝 with my besties who recently got married too/going to get married ~ but trust in your vendors is important too’

ahhh!!! the team had so much chemistry it was insane!!! they were so great at like guiding us throughout the day ~ and i think they really made our wedding so heartwarming because they clicked well with our other vendors such as our emcee! and so far… the sneak peeks they have given us is insane. 🤭
4th wedding tip: livestream ur nikah!
we live-streamed it so guests from everywhere could watch it! not only that, it also becomes something we can always look back and replay the whole thing. we got our livestream professionally done by inthemomentsg 😜
5th wedding tip: if budget allows…
firstly / 2 photographers + 2 videographers to capture both pov of bride n groom (the best is when they have an amazing team chemistry hahaha like the one we had!)
but if u decided to get only 1 photographer + 1 videographer, then get a content creator!
we got our content creator from diariumstories! 📹
definitely was worth every moment and every cent spent. the fact we could look back instantly on our wedding day because they compiled everything for us on google drive. we instantly could post videos etc + not forgetting they provided 3 edited videos for us to post heheh.
