Phasmophobia
when the ghost is a rev and u forget how fast it is 🤣
Okay, Phasmophobia fam, let me tell you about my latest heart-stopper! You know that awful feeling when you're just doing your thing, maybe checking for evidence, and then BAM – the ghost initiates a hunt, and you realize it's a Revenant? That was me last night, and I swear my heart stopped. I completely forgot just how incredibly fast those Revs are, and it was a mad dash to hide. Seriously, one minute I was chilling, the next I was sprinting for my life! Revenants are notoriously one of the fastest ghosts in Phasmophobia when they’re hunting, and it’s a mistake you only make once (or, apparently, twice if you’re me!). Their speed can feel absolutely overwhelming, especially if you're caught out in the open. What makes them so terrifying is their ability to move at lightning speed once they've locked onto a player during a hunt. It's truly a game-changer compared to other, slower ghosts. So, let's talk ghost movement speed in Phasmophobia, because knowing this can literally save your virtual life. While most ghosts move at a base speed, some, like the Revenant, have unique speed mechanics. A Rev, for instance, is actually quite slow when not hunting – you can easily outrun it during a ghost event. But during a hunt? Oh boy. If it has line of sight on you, it will accelerate dramatically, becoming one of the fastest ghosts in the game. The moment it loses line of sight, it slows down again, which is your cue to break away and hide. Then you have ghosts like the Hantu, which is faster in colder rooms and slower in warmer ones. Or the Raiju, which speeds up around active electronic equipment. The Deogen is a unique one; it’s incredibly fast when far away from you but slows down significantly as it gets closer, practically crawling when it’s right on top of you. Knowing these nuances is crucial. A Thaye, for example, starts very fast but gets progressively slower with age as you spend more time in the location. So, how do you deal with these speedy specters? Listen, Listen, Listen: Sound is your best friend. Revenants make a distinct, heavy stomping sound when they're hunting and moving fast. Pay attention to footsteps. Break Line of Sight: This is paramount for a Revenant. If you hear it coming, duck behind a door, a wall, anything to break its visual on you. That's when it slows down, giving you a chance to run to a hiding spot. Know Your Map Layout: Always have an escape route or a hiding spot in mind, especially in larger maps. Knowing where the lockers, closets, and furniture are can be the difference between life and death. Smudge Sticks are Gold: If you're cornered by a fast ghost, a smudge stick can buy you precious seconds. It will temporarily repel the ghost and give you a window to escape. Crucifix Placement: While not directly about speed, good crucifix placement can prevent a hunt from even starting, saving you from a high-speed chase in the first place. My advice? Never underestimate a Revenant. Always assume the worst and have a plan. That last close call taught me to always double-check the ghost type and mentally prepare for its specific quirks. Stay safe out there, ghost hunters, and keep those smudge sticks handy!
