Day 4 Gardening
We still haven't seen any growth but I'm being patient!
Starting a lavender garden can be both exciting and challenging, especially for beginners. On day 4, it’s common to not see immediate growth above the soil, as lavender seeds and seedlings often require time to establish roots before shoots appear. From personal experience, providing your lavender with well-drained soil and ample sunlight is crucial. Lavender thrives best in full sun exposure, needing at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Avoid overwatering since lavender prefers drier conditions; too much moisture can lead to root rot, which halts growth. When I started my lavender garden, I learned that patience really pays off. It took almost a week before any signs of green emerged, but consistent care made a difference. Mulching with small stones or gravel can improve drainage and protect young plants. Keep an eye on temperature and humidity as well. Lavender prefers warmer, temperate climates and moderate humidity levels. If you’re gardening indoors or in a cooler climate, consider using grow lights or placing pots near a sunny window. Tracking progress in a gardening journal helped me stay motivated through the slow phases. Documenting watering schedules, sunlight hours, and temperature conditions allowed me to adjust care routines and successfully foster healthy lavender growth. Remember, gardening is a journey of gradual progress. Stay patient, watch the soil moisture, and provide the right environment to enjoy the fragrant rewards of your lavender garden soon.
