子育て中のママは、つい「しっかりしなきゃ」と自分を追い込みがちですよね。私自身も完璧を求めてしまい、子どもに対して厳しく接してしまうことがありました。しかし、言語聴覚士として多くの親子を見守る中で気がついたのは、お母さんの笑顔こそが子どもの成長を促す最良の「教育」だということです。例えば、スマホを置いて10秒だけ子どもを抱きしめる時間は、どんな知育教材よりも脳に良い影響を与えています。この短い「安心感」の共有が、子どもの自己肯定感や情緒の安定に深くつながるのです。焦って早期教育や習い事に奔走するよりも、今の子どもをありのまま見守り「すごいね」と成果を褒めるのではなく、「見てるよ」と日々の成長を一緒に楽しむことの方が大切です。私が発見した「ま、いっか」という合言葉は、完璧を求める心を少し緩め、笑顔を取り戻すコツ。実際に私も「今日は全部完璧にできなくても大丈夫」と自分に言い聞かせることで、肩の力が抜け、家族みんなが穏やかに過ごせる時間が増えました。子どもたちの表情も豊かになり、やる気や好奇心も育まれています。子育ては毎日が試行錯誤の連続ですが、お母さん自身が少しでもリラックスできる時間や気持ちの余裕を持つことが、子どもの笑顔と自己肯定感に直結します。時には完璧を手放し、「ま、いっか」の気持ちで自分をゆるめる勇気を持ちましょう。そうすることで、親子の絆もより深まり、楽しく豊かな子育てライフが実現しますよ。
