Let’s make Mickey waffle dessert sandwiches!

Soooo here’s one for my Disney lovers! 🧚

I have a Mickey waffle maker so that’s how I get the shape.

Note; You can ABSOLUTELY just do this with normal waffles versus shaped ones. It’s just a silly dessert I thought of while I was tired and craving something sweet. 🫣

Ingredients:

I use the premade pancake mix and for that you need:

- 2 cups of the mixture itself

- 1-1/4 cups of water

- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil

- 1 egg

Then you’ll need your toppings/fillings!

I used:

- Chocolate sauce

- Marshmallow fluff

- Marshmallows

You can use whatever you prefer. I wanted sweet. You could even do Nutella and fruit.

Directions:

1) Heat up that waffle maker! While that’s heating, put your mixture, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a bowl. Whisk it together to combine.

2) Spray that waffle maker with some cooking spray. Don’t make my mistake where I forget constantly. Your waffles will stick! 🤣

3) Start putting in your mixture into the waffle maker. I don’t have a set amount. I eyeball it and fill it to where I think it’s enough. I like mine a little thicker so I do tend to fill to the top.

4) Let the waffle maker do its thing. Once it stops letting steam out, your waffle is ready.

5) Take waffle out and repeat the steps until your waffle mix is done! (You can make as much or as little as you want.)

6) I take two waffles. I place my toppings/fillings on top of one. In this case, I used what I had. So for me: chocolate sauce, marshmallows, and marshmallow fluff.

7) Use the second waffle to place on top. Voila! You have a Mickey waffle sandwich! (Or a normal waffle sandwich if making regular ones!)

Enjoy! ❤️

... Read moreIf you're a Disney enthusiast like me, making Mickey waffle dessert sandwiches at home is such a delightful treat that brings a little magic to your kitchen. Even if you don't have a Mickey waffle maker, don't worry—you can use any waffle maker to create these fun and tasty dessert sandwiches. From my experience, the key to perfect waffles is ensuring you spray the waffle maker generously with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Using premade pancake mix makes the batter preparation quick and easy, especially when you're craving something sweet without much fuss. I love experimenting with various fillings beyond chocolate sauce and marshmallow fluff. Nutella paired with fresh strawberries or bananas is a personal favorite that gives a creamy and fruity contrast to the crisp waffles. For a more indulgent option, try adding a scoop of ice cream between your waffle sandwiches right after they’re made—the slight warmth of the waffle gently melts the ice cream for a heavenly experience. One tip I've learned is to allow the waffles to cool slightly before assembling the sandwich, which helps prevent the fillings from sliding out. However, if you're going for a melty marshmallow effect, assembling immediately after cooking works wonders. You can even toast the assembled sandwich briefly in a pan or a sandwich press for extra crispy edges. This recipe is also versatile for any occasion: a fun breakfast, an after-school snack, or a whimsical dessert for gatherings. Plus, the visual appeal of Mickey-shaped waffles adds a nostalgic and charming touch that kids and adults alike will adore. Don’t hesitate to get creative with toppings and share your unique twists on social media or with friends—there’s something truly special about crafting homemade Disney-themed goodies that bring joy and smiles all around.
