I have to say… I started feeling it about 10-12 minutes after the last drop. I felt hot almost but in a good way like I’d already worked out. I hopped on the walking pad and walked 16.5 minutes without thinking it and then had to stop cause I still needed to strength train (see previous posts on my 75 day reset I’m doing during this Winter Arc). I got that done and was able to hold up a lot longer than I thought. It’s been about an hour and half since taking it (~946a) and it’s still11:15a as I type this. I’m STILL feeling the effects… I’m a little hot but it could also be the sun shining on me right now while I wait in the car for pickup. I also live in Arizona and it’s a high of 88 today. I’m a little tingly in my face and body but not a bad feeling.
If you are trying this for the first time… definitely do one scoop first to see how long the effects last and how it affects you. Directions say to take 1 scoop in the morning and then another scoop 10 minutes before workout. At this point I don’t know if two scoops is something I wanna do unless I’m working out in the afternoon but this week I’ve enjoyed before 11a… we shall see though. It’s a half day for my kiddo but Friday is a full day so maybe I’ll try it out and see which one I like better… 1 scoop prior to workout or 2 scoops in the day…
Update: it’s 1:18p and I’m experiencing a bit of a crash… is this normal? Should I have had a scoop when I got up before my initial scoop prior to working out?
... Read moreIt's totally normal to have lots of questions when you first start with a supplement like Oxyshred, especially on your first day! Your experience with feeling hot and tingly, almost like you've already started working out, is actually a common sign that the thermogenic effects are kicking in. Many of us, myself included, have felt that initial warmth and energy boost. It's that feeling that helps power through those walking pad sessions or strength training circuits, just like you described!
Speaking of those effects, you mentioned Oxyshred Thermogenic Fat Burner in Cosmic Blast flavor – that 'thermogenic' part is key! Generally, these supplements aim to slightly increase your body's core temperature, which can boost metabolism and help with calorie burning. Ingredients often include things like caffeine for energy, and yes, the Acetyl L-Carnitine you see on the other EHPLabs container is a popular addition to many fat burners, often used to help transport fatty acids into cells to be burned for energy. So, those initial sensations you felt were likely your body responding to these active ingredients working their magic!
Your question about dosage – one scoop versus two, and the timing – is super common. The directions usually suggest starting with one scoop to assess tolerance, which is exactly what you did, and it's the safest way to begin. Taking it about 10-20 minutes before your workout, as some suggest, can ensure those energizing effects hit right when you need them most. For those afternoon workouts or longer days, some users do eventually work up to a second scoop, but listening to your body, like you are, is absolutely crucial. You might find that a single scoop in the morning provides sufficient sustained energy for your daily activities and workout, without needing a second dose later in the day. Experimenting slowly, maybe trying the second scoop only on full workout days, sounds like a smart approach.
Now, let's talk about that 'crash' you experienced around 1:18 PM. You're definitely not alone in wondering if that's normal! It can happen, especially with stimulants like caffeine that are often in Oxyshred. When the initial stimulating effects wear off, some people feel a dip in energy, sometimes described as a crash or fatigue. To potentially mitigate this, some users find it helpful to:
Ensure Hydration: Keep drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
Eat a Balanced Meal: Make sure you're fueling your body with good nutrition, especially protein and complex carbs, around the time you take it.
Avoid Other Stimulants: Be mindful of how much coffee or other caffeinated beverages you're consuming.
Taper Off: If you decide to take a break, gradually reduce your dosage.
Listen to Your Body: If the crash is severe or consistent, it might be a sign that the dosage is too high for you, or that your body just doesn't react well to that particular blend of stimulants. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or a nutritionist if you have ongoing concerns about side effects.
Remember, Oxyshred is a weight loss and fat loss supplement designed to assist your efforts, not replace them. It works best when combined with a consistent fitness routine and a balanced diet. It's exciting that you're incorporating it into your fitness journey! Keep tracking your progress and how your body feels, and you'll find what works best for your unique routine.
I definitely think the effects of supplements in general is what I'm so hesitant on.... and there are so many out there as well OMG it can be so overwhelming just to find the right ones to fit your body and chemistry. I hope these have been helpful in the long run for you though. I used to use something similar as well as whey protien. my body just got irritated with the protien intake and everything else went wonky so I had to start from scratch.
